SNHMA is an independent private co-ed school serving toddlers through eighth grade.

Educating the whole-child through an integrated curriculum with an emphasis of hands-on learning.

Looking for a robust educational experience for your child? Look no further.

Cultivating Brilliance

Here, in addition to the strong academic core, your child will develop his passion in technology, science, visual and performing arts, language and physical education. He will learn at his own pace, with an educational plan tailored perfectly to him.

Nurturing curiosity, inspiring confidence and promoting the joys of learning about the world are daily occurrences at SNHMA.”
Doug H.,
Sandown, NH

We love the focus on the individual at SNHMA…there is acknowledgment that no two students are the same. We also appreciate that the curriculum is rich, diverse and fun.”

Southern NH Montessori Academy added 5 new photos to the album: International Day Assembly - Russian Traditions.

We are so thankful to have such a diverse community here at SNHMA. Last week we welcomed two parents, Anna Emery and Tatiana Smith, to share with us their Russian traditions. We learned about the customs of Maslenitsa, also know as Butter Week. The children listened attentively to a traditional folk tale translated to English and enjoyed blini, a thin pancake that is an integral part of Maslenitsa. These pancakes represent the sun as we welcome Spring and the warmth of longer days. Thank you for sharing with us! #snhma

Tanya LawsonMy Baba (grandmother in Ukranian) used to make the most delicious thin pancakes with fruit fillings when she was still alive. I was so thrilled that Adria could partake in such an experience now that Baba is no longer with us.

Staff Spotlight: Guardian and Fé

Guardian and Fé are the school dogs here at SNHMA! They are both Portuguese Water Dogs and are loved by all at the school: students, staff, and parents alike. Guardian is 5 years old and is a trained Therapy Dog. He is wonderfully calm and loves to visit the children in the classrooms. He is truly of ‘service’ to the school, offering his gentle presence to all. Miss Fé is the newest addition and, at 9 months old, is in training. In her role, the students, staff, and families are supporting her training as she grows and matures. Certainly examples of both the Independence and Interdependence fostered in the Montessori educational philosophy. Both dogs come to school every day. #snhma

Staff Spotlight: Ms. Adrianne

Adrianne Anderson is the Admissions Director here at SNHMA. She also teaches Spanish a few afternoons each week. Adrianne comes to us having been an assistant teacher in a Montessori Early Childhood classroom, as well as starting her education as a Montessori child. She has her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Warren Wilson College. Adrianne was drawn back to Montessori after college when she knew she wanted to work in a school. After assisting in a Montessori classroom for two years she moved into an Administrative role at the same school. Adrianne loves sharing the magic of Montessori with prospective families and supporting the community of current families. She loves the individualized approach in a Montessori classroom and how it encourages children to follow their interests. Adrianne sees the flame inside each child truly being kindled and fed in a Montessori environment. She says her favorite thing about being a part of a school community is that she gets to spend time with children every day and witness their joy in learning.

Adrianne recently moved to New Hampshire from North Carolina, where she was raised and went to school. She loves to travel, explore new places, and go walking in the woods with her dog. In her free time, Adrianne loves to knit, read books, and write letters. She and her husband are enjoying the adventure of settling into life in New England. Stay tuned for the next Staff Spotlight! #snhma
