TEACHER OF THE WEEK!
Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher- Miss Maryn

What is your favorite quote?

"You can't appreciate the sun, without the rain"

Why do you like it?
I like this quote since it rings truth in so many ways. You can apply it to just about anything in this human life experience! If it were always one way in our world we would lack contrast and opportunities for lessons to keep growing.

What have you enjoyed about our Learn From Home Program?

I am blown away by seeing how well our team has come together in such a short time given to us to comprehend what needed to be done. I really enjoy observing how the students have adjusted to this new environment and routine. Seeing them communicate, engage and smile everyday has been a huge help in this time of transition!

What has been challenging about our Learn From Home Program?

The most challenging part about the Learn From Home Program personally has been doing everything online. I am such a hands on person, so sitting behind a screen instead of interacting with the students has been difficult for me.

What was your favorite book as a child?

My favorite childhood book was...
"The Pokey Little Puppy” by Janette Sebring Lowrey

Teacher of the Week!
Early Childhood Assistant Teacher- Miss Emily

What is your favorite quote? Why do you like it?

"The only limits in our life are those we impose on ourselves." - Bob Proctor
I relate to this quote a lot because we can do anything we set our minds to. It's our minds that limit us from living up to our greatest potential.

What have you enjoyed about the Learn From Home Program?

I love being able to see the childrens faces and being able to share my life at home with them and seeing how excited they are to share their life at home with us. It's inspiring to see how fast both the children and the parents have adapted to this way of learning.

What has been challenging about Learn From Home?

It has been challenging not being able to have that one on one connection with each child everyday. I hope that with our smaller group sessions this will become a little easier.

What was your favorite book as a child?

My favorite book as a child was anything by Dr. Seuss. I love the silly poet rhyming and the illustrations on each page.

What is your favorite book as an adult?

"First, we make the beast beautiful" by Sarah Wilson. This is an excellent book I would recommend to anyone and everyone. It is a great book that helps open up discussion around anxiety and other mental health issues. Society tends to put a negative spotlight on mental health disorders but this book puts a positive outlook on the subject and helps give tools on how to manage and embrace twhat it means to be your own unique self.
